FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s) ABOUT LEASING A TNC VEHICLE

Disclaimer: The relationship of a person choosing to lease a vehicle offered by Lease Services for use as a TNC vehicle is strictly that of Lessee – Lessor.  The information contained in this document is provided for general information purposes only and under no circumstance shall Lease Services have any liability resulting from the use of any of the information provided.

WHAT KIND VEHICLES ARE AVAILABLE FOR LEASE?

Our company offers a variety of vehicles to suit a variety of needs for TNC drivers.  We offer fuel-efficient, high-quality vehicles.  Vehicles are based on availability first come first serve.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO CONSIDER WHEN RENTING A TNC VEHICLE?

The TNC Vehicle Fleet is managed by a group known as “Lease Services” and requires lessees to be approved by their vehicle insurance company in order to drive.  The minimum age requirement is 23.  Applicants must have at least 2 years of driving experience in the U.S. and be approved to driver by the

insurance carrier of Lease Services.  If you have not held a license in Wisconsin for at least 2 years you will need to obtain a copy of your Motor Vehicle Record from the previous state in which you held a Driver’s License to submit with your application.  Lease Services is not able to obtain MVRs from any state other than Wisconsin.  Once information is submitted to insurance a decision is provided in approx. 3-4 business days.

HOW DO I APPLY TO LEASE A TNC VEHICLE?

Interested individuals may apply on-line or in person using a company computer at the Lease Services business office during weekday business hours.

WHERE IS LEASE SERVICES LOCATED?

Lease Services is located at 646 S. 2nd Street, Suite 500, Milwaukee, WI  53204 and office hours for applications are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3pm.  (Closed on Holidays and Weekends)

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY TO LEASE A TNC VEHICLE?

While on-line sign up is the quickest and preferred method, all applicants need to submit a valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s License along with a current copy (no more than 10 days old) of their Wisconsin MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) or you may pay an $8 fee to Lease Services (no checks accepted) if you apply in person and they will obtain the MVR for you the same day. For applicants that apply online and choose to obtain their own MVR remember to email both your DL and MVR copies to Lease Services to proceed with processing your application.

HOW CAN I OBTAIN A COPY OF MY WISCONSIN MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVING RECORD (MVR)?

Fees for obtaining an MVR are the responsibility of the applicant and are not able to be refunded once the report has been requested.

Applicants will also need to submit proof of current affiliation with a TNC company, i.e. Uber, Lyft, Door DASH, etc.

WHAT ARE THE LEASE OPTIONS FOR A TNC VEHICLE?

Leases options are tailored to meet the needs of our customers.  Leases may be short term or long term and rates vary accordingly.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO LEASE A TNC VEHICLE?

Lease fees vary based on duration of lease along with vehicle make and model.  A Lease Services Representative can provide more information on rate packages and on how the program works.

WHAT DOES THE LEASE FEE FOR A TNC VEHICLE INCLUDE?

Lease Services carries the auto liability insurance on the vehicle. They also contract with a facility to provide all of the maintenance for the vehicle.  Lease Services will also provide spare vehicles to use for breakdowns and periods of necessary maintenance. Every effort will be made to provide a comparable spare vehicle based on availability.

ARE TNC VEHICLES AVAILABLE TO LEASE ON-DEMAND?

Vehicles are available through advanced reservations only due to availability of supply and demand.

ARE THERE ANY MILEAGE RESTRICTIONS - MAY I CROSS STATE LINES WITH THE LEASED VEHICLE?

Daily, weekly and monthly rental periods may have varying mileage limits.  Be sure you know how far you will be traveling each day as there may be overages fees.  Prior approval from Lease Services management is necessary for trips in excess of 250 miles from Lease Services home base.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE TNC VEHICLE BREAKS DOWN OR IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DURING THE LEASE PERIOD?  

Lease Services uses a sub-contracted maintenance facility employing certified technicians for repairs to the vehicles offered for lease.   In the event of a breakdown or accident the Lessee should contact the Lease Services Office to report the situation, notify the TNC company you are affiliated with as a driver and refer to the Roadside Assistance information provided at the time of executing the lease.  You may park the vehicle or if necessary, have the vehicle towed to our designated sub-contracted maintenance facility.
