WHAT KIND OF WHEELCHAIR VEHICLES ARE AVAILABLE FOR LEASE?
Our company offers rear-ramp vehicles that have a foldout ramp for easy entry. Our wheelchair accessible vans are inspected after every rental to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride for the occupant of the wheelchair. We do not currently offer accessible vehicles with hand controls for the wheelchair user to operate themselves.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO CONSIDER WHEN RENTING A WHEELCHAIR VAN?
Full insurance coverage is required to rent a wheelchair van. You will need to provide proof of your insurance and disclosure of coverage limits to the leasing company. Know the dimensions of the wheelchair that will be secured in the vehicle to make sure the rental will accommodate the chair size and the number of passengers that may need make any trips.
ARE THERE ANY MILEAGE RESTRICTIONS - MAY I CROSS STATE LINES WITH THE RENTAL VEHICLE?
Daily, weekly and monthly rental periods may have varying mileage limits. Be sure you know how far you will be traveling each day as there may be overages fees. Prior approval from Lease Services management is necessary for trips in excess of 250 miles from Lease Services home base.
ARE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VEHICLES AVAILABLE ON-DEMAND?
Vehicles are available through advanced reservations only due to availability of supply and demand. Keep in mind that rentals for holidays should be secured with as much advance notice as possible as holiday times are one of the busiest rental periods.
HOW DO I APPLY TO LEASE A WHEELCHAIR VAN FOR PRIVATE/PERSONAL USE?
Interested individuals may apply on-line or in person using a company computer at the Lease Services business office during weekday business hours.
WHERE IS LEASE SERVICES LOCATED?
Lease Services is located at 646 S. 2nd Street, Suite 500, Milwaukee, WI 53204 and office hours for applications are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3pm. (Closed on Holidays and Weekends)
WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY TO LEASE A WHEELCHAIR VEHICLE FOR PRIVATE/PERSONAL USE?
While on-line sign up is the quickest and preferred method, all applicants need to submit a valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s License along with a current copy (no more than 10 days old) of their Wisconsin MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) or you may pay an $8 fee to Lease Services (no checks accepted) if you apply in person and they will obtain the MVR for you the same day. For applicants that apply online and choose to obtain their own MVR remember to email both your DL and MVR copies to Lease Services to proceed with processing your application.
HOW CAN I OBTAIN A COPY OF MY WISCONSIN MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVING RECORD (MVR)?
Fees for obtaining an MVR are the responsibility of the applicant and are not able to be refunded once the report has been requested.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO LEASE A WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VAN?
Lease fees vary based on length of the rental period. Rate packages are structured to meet our clients’ needs and a Lease Services Representative can provide more information.
HOW IS THE WHEELCHAIR USER SECURED IN A WHEELCHAIR VAN?
All wheelchair vans offered for rent are equipped with QStraint branded securement systems which uses “tie-down” straps that ratchet from the van to the wheelchair in providing a safe and secure ride for the occupant of the wheelchair. Demos on wheelchair securement by one of our certified securement representatives are available upon request and prescheduled appointments only.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE VEHICLE BREAKS DOWN OR IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD? Lease Services uses a sub-contracted maintenance facility employing certified technicians for repairs to the vehicles they offer for lease. In the event of a breakdown or accident the Lessee should refer to the Roadside assistance information provided at the time of executing the lease. Contact the Lease Services office to report the situation. IF the vehicle is towed it should be dropped at the designated maintenance facility of Lease Services which is located at 646 S. 2nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204.
